Welcome to YellowNote. These comprehensive Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "You", "Your") and the developer of YellowNote ("Developer", "We", "Us", "Our"). By accessing, registering for, or using the YellowNote web application, including its note-taking, task management, and cloud synchronization features, you acknowledge that you have read, completely understood, and agree to be bound by every provision contained within this document. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the application and delete any associated local or cloud data.
YellowNote is designed as a personal productivity tool to help you seamlessly manage your thoughts, notes, and daily tasks. By using this service, you explicitly agree to abide by general rules of acceptable digital conduct. You agree that you will not use YellowNote for any unlawful, illegal, or unauthorized purposes. You shall not store, upload, or synchronize any content that is malicious, highly sensitive, defamatory, infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others, or violates any local, national, or international laws. We reserve the unequivocal right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice or liability, if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these rules of conduct or abused the platform's infrastructure.
To utilize the cloud synchronization capabilities of YellowNote, you must register for an account using a valid email address and a strong password. You are entirely and solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials and any One-Time Passwords (OTPs) sent to your email. The Developer assumes no responsibility for any unauthorized access to your account that results from your failure to safeguard your credentials. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security, you are expected to immediately change your password and secure your local devices.
While we strive to provide a seamless and uninterrupted experience, YellowNote is provided on an evolving basis. We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any feature, functionality, or aspect of the application at any time, with or without prior notice. This includes modifications to the cloud synchronization infrastructure, local storage architecture, or the user interface. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times or that it will be entirely free from disruptions, delays, or technical errors.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY AS IT SIGNIFICANTLY LIMITS THE LIABILITY OF THE DEVELOPER. YellowNote is provided on a strictly "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. THIS INCLUDES ANY DATA LOSS, HARDWARE CORRUPTION, OR SYNC FAILURES RESULTING FROM THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
The User explicitly acknowledges and agrees that the Developer is NOT responsible for any damage, loss of personal notes, loss of task lists, or breaches of local device security. It is the User's sole responsibility to maintain independent backups of any critical, valuable, or sensitive information stored within YellowNote. The cloud synchronization feature relies on third-party infrastructure (Supabase), and the Developer cannot and does not guarantee the absolute permanence or survival of any synchronized data.
At YellowNote, we place the highest value on your privacy and digital security. We fundamentally believe that your personal thoughts, notes, and daily tasks belong exclusively to you. This Privacy Policy outlines our uncompromising approach to data collection, how your information is handled, and the strict security measures we employ to ensure your private data remains entirely under your control.
Our philosophy is one of data minimization. We only collect the absolute bare minimum required to make the application function correctly and seamlessly across your devices. When you register for an account to enable cloud synchronization, we collect your email address and a securely encrypted version of your password. We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, or any underlying demographic tracking data. Your actual notes, to-do lists, and task statuses are collected exclusively for the purpose of transmitting them to your secure cloud vault so they can be retrieved on your other authenticated devices.
YellowNote is built with a "local-first" architecture. This means your data primarily lives inside your browser's Local Storage right on your device. The only time your data leaves your device is when you explicitly click the "Cloud Sync" button. When synchronized, your data is sent via an encrypted connection to our secure database (powered by Supabase). We use this data for one purpose and one purpose only: to synchronize your account across your devices. We do not analyze your notes, we do not feed your tasks to AI algorithms, and we will never, under any circumstances, sell, rent, or distribute your personal information or content to third-party data brokers or advertisers.
We implement stringent security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. All data transmitted between your device and our cloud infrastructure is protected using industry-standard TLS encryption. Furthermore, our database utilizes strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies. These advanced cryptographic rules are hard-coded into the database to ensure that only an actively authenticated user can read, write, update, or delete data linked to their specific unique User ID. Not even a misconfigured frontend query can bypass these database-level security protocols.
You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over all content you create within YellowNote. Because you own your data, you possess the right to permanently delete it at any time. When you use the deletion features within the app (such as deleting a task or a note), the item is flagged for soft deletion locally and permanently expunged from the active view. If you wish to completely wipe your existence from our cloud servers, you may execute the deletion commands, and the Row Level Security protocols will authorize the removal of your targeted records from our cloud database. Furthermore, you have the right to request a complete account termination by contacting the developer.
YellowNote does not employ intrusive tracking cookies or third-party marketing pixels. We strictly utilize your browser's native Local Storage API to save your notes, task lists, UI theme preferences (such as Dark/Light mode), and your active authentication tokens. These localized mechanisms are strictly functional and are mandatory for providing the offline capabilities and persistent login experience of the application.
By registering an account and continuing to utilize YellowNote, you acknowledge that you have read this detailed Privacy Policy and actively consent to the secure handling of your data as described herein.
