What happens to my data if I logout?
If you choose "Logout & Keep Data", your notes remain saved on this specific device's browser. If you choose "Logout & Wipe Device", your local data is cleared, but remains safely backed up in the cloud if you synced beforehand.
Are my shared links secure?
Yes. We use cryptographically secure random identifiers for shared links. The underlying database table is completely locked down, meaning nobody can read your shared items without the exact, unique URL.
Does YellowNote work offline?
Absolutely. YellowNote uses an offline-first architecture. You can create, edit, and delete notes without an internet connection. Once you are back online, simply click the sync button to update the cloud.
Is there a storage limit?
We use IndexedDB for local storage, which allows for virtually unlimited text storage on most modern devices. Cloud storage is limited by your account tier, but text data takes up very little space.
